This position also supports the Manager of the Customer Contact Center with personnel issues and directing administrative activities. The Customer Service Specialist (SP) is responsible for a team of entry, working and advanced-level Customer Service Specialists whose primary duties consist of: Assisting customer s either by phone or in person; Reviewing confidential tax information; Researching inquiries online through our integrated tax system; Providing account maintenance according to tax laws and policies and procedures; Providing customer support for online self-service functions through the GA Tax Center; Providing knowledgeable and accurate information in a timely and friendly manner. The Customer Service Specialist (SP) serves as a subject matter expert by providing leadership through coaching and mentoring, setting a good customer service example, and providing feedback. This position also develops and implements procedures and guidelines that support performance goals related to customer service & process improvement. Duties require strong interpersonal skills, strong team-building skills, effective problem-resolution techniques, and the ability to motivate and support employees in a fast-paced, productivity-driven work environment.
