Employment Law Fundamentals FETAC Level 6 Description This course is run in conjunction with Northside Centre for the Unemployed and the Northside Community Law & Mediation Centre and Ballymun Community Law Centre. The course is FETAC accredited at level 6 by NCU Training Centre. Course Objectives This course aims to provide students with a basic grounding in the main areas of employment law. It will address many issues that arise at work, including contracts of employment, terms and conditions of employment, health & safety, leave entitlements, discrimination, dismissal and disciplinary measures. Students submit an assignment, a project, and sit an open book exam to receive their accreditation. Who Should Apply? This course is aimed at information providers, employees and managers/directors of community and voluntary groups who are interested in learning about employment rights law. Other Information The Course will take place on Tuesday afternoons from 2.00 to 4.30 p.m. It will take place in the Northside Civic Centre, Bunratty Road, Coolock. One session will include a visit to the Employment Appeals Tribunal. Dates: 8th Oct 12th Nov 15th Oct 19th Nov 22nd Oct 26th Nov 29th Oct 3rd Dec 5th Nov 10th Dec 17th Dec Fee The fee for this course is €450.
