North Spirit Runes and Stones: Living in Norway and being of Scandinavian descent with a close connection to the spirit and spirituality of my ancestors, my path is Asatro, and Vanatro (the belief in the Aesir, the belief in the Vanir: nordic groups of Gods and Goddesses). Runes are an integral part of that, as the first written system in northern Europe. In addition to being an alphabet, the runes hold esoteric powers, and are strong when implemented magically, to effect some change. My focus is rune jewelry. I make these and rune sets using wood from fallen trees. The energy of the trees are important to lending a living aspect to the pieces. I also, as many others here, love stones of all kinds from all over the world. I hunt for stones online, but love especially walking in the mountains to pick up my own pieces to turn into jewelry and to admire.
