Engineer- Hot Mill- Reliability ArcelorMittal Cleveland has an immediate opening for an Engineer – Hot Mill – Reliability in our Hot Mill Division in Cleveland, Ohio. The following primary position responsibilities and key position requirements are intended to provide an overview of the position, but are not all-inclusive. Position Summary • Facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis, Reliability-centered Maintenance, Maintenance Task Analysis, etc enabling the development of technically based Equipment Maintenance Programs incorporating facility control standards driven by product characteristics, equipment life expectations, serviceability and cost. • Provide leadership and mentor others in deploying and maintaining the systems and methodologies ensuring equipment reliability. • Participate in and coordinate resolution of complex equipment reliability technical problems involving multiple technical inputs (internal and external). • Responsible for creating and overseeing the deployment of workforce plans and employee development plans. • Assures the application of a risk based approach to prioritizing equipment reliability issues to ensure which ones should be worked on first, and leads the identification of appropriate technically based actions to mitigate risk. • Sets asset performance standards based on business unit goals set by the Manager of Maintenance. • Maintain a set of benchmarks of asset performance standards to understand relationship to world class. • Monitors & reports asset performance metrics against standards (failures, downtime & maintenance cost) to drive effectiveness. • Monitors & reports on Equipment Reliability Process metrics to drive efficiency • Leads equipment performance review meetings to assure action are identified and executed addressing equipment performance gaps. • Participates in project activities, in cooperation with Plant Continuous Improvement Engineers aimed at continuous incremental improvement of Equipment Reliability. • Assures RCM process is in place to develop and deliver the technically based Equipment Maintenance Programs (i.e., the PM’s, or the decisions to modify or reengineer equipment; this is the end result of the RCM analysis.). • Audits RCM process against the Equipment Maintenance Programs (EMP) for efficiency and effectiveness. • Works closely with area engineers to determine, develop and implement proactive solutions to short term and long term reliability issues. • Works closely with area planner and scheduler to capture required asset performance data in CMMS. Qualifications: • BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a minimum of seven (7) years equivalent industrial mill experience • 3 years manufacturing experience Proficient in MS Office products Prioritize work and handle multiple projects • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Strong problem-solving and negotiating skills • Proven experience in team leadership towards the implementation of reliability maintenance goals and objectives Preferred Requirements: • 10 years manufacturing experience Supervisory experience in a union environment Proficient in Tabware and IVARA Work City: Cleveland, OH Relocation: Yes Please email an updated resume to sfields@careerfieldsconsulting or call Sheneka Fields at 913-738-2498.
