Enrolled Nurse (Cape Town, Pollsmoor Correctional Services) TB/HIV Care Association wishes to appoint qualified Enrolled Nurses to support the HAST programme in Pollsmoor Correctional Services This position is funded by the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria through a grant administrated by Right to Care in partnership with the Department of Correctional Services. These are fixed-term contract positions, renewable subject to performance. The working environment and conditions are in line with those of a correctional services facility. The organisation offers a total cost of employment package, commensurate with experience. Ref code: EN-PCS Minimum Requirements: • Diploma or relevant Nursing qualification • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse • Minimum 2 years’ experience in HIV and TB programs • Ability to communicate in English, Xhosa and/or another South African language • Computer literate in MS Office suite • Clear criminal record Key Performance Areas: • Provide a HIV and TB program as support of correctional services health • Provide mentorship HIV and TB screening of inmates with linkage of HIV care and TB management • Support the mobilisation efforts for newly diagnosed HIV, STI and TB testing and screening and continuum of care program in correctional centres for remand and released inmates • Provide technical assistance in HIV counselling and manage and track referral of HIV, STI and TB cases Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: • Competent in diagnosing and treating HIV, TB and STI clients • Initiate and maintain support groups • Good communication, interpersonal, conflict management and negotiation skills • Team leader and team player • Valid code 08 driver’s license ________________________________________ To apply: E-mail or fax your application letter (clearly quoting the reference code), curriculum vitae with three contactable references and certified copies of certificates to: Contact person: Brenda Leve E-mail: [email protected] Fax: 086 607 8246 Contact number: 021 425 0050 In the event that you do not hear from us after a month of the closing date, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
