Enrolling as a new voter, correcting or transferring your voter card -- why Online method is preferable to Offline method 1) If you are applying offline, you are at the mercy of the data-entry employee in the local municipality who is responsible for typing all the data in your submitted paper form to the Election Commission website. The data-entry person needs to scan your photograph and type your data in both English and Telugu and the entire process takes about 15 minutes per form. As he will be receiving thousands of forms, the temptation on his part to "misplace" your form is high. Usually, he just ignores the submitted forms for many months and in fact years! If at all he takes up your form to type the data, he usually types your information incorrectly. If you are applying online, you will be bypassing the municipality office and typing your data yourself in Election Commission website directly. 2) If you are applying online, as soon as you submit your application, you will receive an application ID number as an acknowledgement for future reference. Whereas if you are applying offline, there is no way to track your form till the data-operator finishes typing the content in your form to the Election Commission website. 3) If you are applying offline, you would need to print the application form by downloading it from here: ceoandhra.nic.in/ceonew/Forms.aspx The forms should also available be in the local municipality office. Online submission saves you from this task!
