Ephesians 1:23 Study ... (Reproduction and Procreation in Reverse Order: The Children of Men, The Children of God) I may be wrong, but I think Ive been miseducated in biblical facts. I was taught that the church is the body of Christ. But if I am understanding Ephesians 1:23 correctly, the church is actually the body of God the Father on earth??? In Ephesians 1:22, Paul wrote that God the Father gave Jesus Christ to the church after he raised him from the dead and set him at his right hand in the heavenly places to be its head (Eph 1:20). Thats probably why theologians always refer to the church as the bride of Christ instead of the groom of Christ. God didnt give his beloved Son to another man to be one with it. In natural reproduction, men bring offspring of their flesh body into the world via a woman. The baby is of the world. It is mommas baby. In spiritual reproduction, God reverses the process. He brings offspring out of the world into the church His body) via a man (Jesus Christ). The baby goes back into Gods body, the church. A healthy male walking around has all his progeny, his future, all his children contained within his body until he ejaculates them out into the world. Once outside his body, there is no returning to the man from whom it came. Unless connected to fruitful soil, all those millions of potential babies die almost instantaneously. Likewise, the body of God, the church is the fullness of him according to Ephesians 1:24. The world is full of men. The world is healthy and vibrant and has life abundant. However, unless the worlds children are selected or ejected into the church via Christ Jesus, they will die. Once they leave the world, they may live a short period of time, but if there is no connection to a fruitful life giving womb or place (the Church), the children of the world will definitely die. They will not be able to return to the world from which they came ...
