Ephesians 5:15-16 KJV See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.... Circumspectly means, with great awareness. The situation presented to my wife and me over the past year has certainly left us with a shortage of family time. These verses minister to me more now than ever before, due to that. Its so easy to allow the moments, hours, days, months, and years to slip by without realizing the true priceless treasure each moment of life provides. We become so self-indulged or pre-occupied with personal agendas, whether right or wrong, that we overlook how quickly the wick of life is burning down. We miss invaluable time with family or a precious opportunity to minister the gospel to someone because we simply procrastinate, assuming there will be another chance tomorrow... But one day, the tomorrows run out, and were left only with the memories of the opportunities upon which we chose to capitalize. Im exasperated with missed opportunities and failures to seize the moment in my life. For you sports fans, there is a shot clock on life; dont be caught standing flat-footed and holding the ball when the clock runs out. Be aware of the fact that time is precious, and every moment counts! Redeem the time because the days are evil...
