Episode 9 Have you ever tried calling someone who ignores your calls? It is so annoying. Everytime you dial their number to call..there is so much expectation and hope that they answer. If they dont answer, you comfort yourself and come up with ideas such as maybe they forgot their phone somewhere, its on silent, it is stolen and the thief is shy to answer, its about to be stolen..the person who has it will not take the calls just in case u change their mind. You go through this cycle of expectations and disappointment until they answer. Then imagine some guy like John ignoring your calls!!!! Alex finally answers his phone after i called in like forever. Choma naare whatsapp? Sweety i just wanna die...i cant take it anymore, Alex responded in a low voice. I could tell the channels just changed from Disney to Mtv, in the case of Btv, from Cool catz to Itshireletse. I was in shock! I did not know how to respond to this...i decided to just listen. 4 minutes passed without anyone of us uttering a word. My mind was running to and fro looking for answers. I remembered the chill session at Chicken Licken, licking that ice cream before it melts and talking bw how some guy look good in chinos. Well thats before Patrick came in. I did not want to probe too much because it sounded like he was crying. Last time my friend cried, we were chiling at the back of the class eating the Simba party pack during study time. One guy asked that we keep it down because they are studying. Alex told the guy thay he understands how it will be so important for him to pass. According to Ali, is not only that his family cannot afford to take him to school if he fails but he is also hope to getting his family out of poverty. What he said was not too bad the problem was more on how he said it. He snapped his fingers, moved his head as he talked..rolling his eyes and looking at the ceiling for a split second. When he took his eyes from the ceiling, Thebe was waiting to put his big hand...ijoh!! Proper big...across Alexs face. He cried for half an hour. Thebe was irritated and he felt bad, as he went out of class. Now everyone was asking...are you oWk Alex? Alex responded as tears rolled down his eyes, with a shaky trying so much to be controlled voice, It is not about the slap, he said. Tsabana really make you stronger. His hand covered half my face...its a pity we did not take pictures... the whole class laughed. It sounded serious this time around. He was still quiet...i had to say something. Jesus died that we may have life in abundance, you do not need to kill yourself. Nothing is too hard for the Lord and whatever you going through we can go through it with Jesus.. He went through the storm with His disciples and we are the disciples of Jesus. He said He will never leave us nor forsake us and He will fight our battles and rebuke the enemy on our behalf I was in the scripture roll...if you read the Bible well..the verses will come when u need them. He replied with a much weaker voice...chomza, really? I should have known this...i already swallowed 19 pills, i wanted you to be the last person i call. There was silence for 5 minutes, well on the other line coz i was busy shouting Alex i love you.
