Episode Recap – 7/29/14 (contains spoilers for todays show) At Brooke’s, Ridge says Bill is playing with Brooke’s emotions and he hates seeing Brooke that way. Ridge wants Brooke to tell Bill it’s over. Liam asks Wyatt what’s going on. Someone runs up to Hope and says they have a mutiny downstairs and Hope leaves to find out what’s going on. Ivy shows Aly the video of the hug between Wyatt and Hope and Aly is not happy about it and makes a comment about Hope looking at Wyatt. Aly tells Ivy that Hope is with Liam and she would never do this. Hope is in her office handling the issue and Deacon comes in. Ivy tells Aly that has to stay between them and then Ivy starts telling Aly about the HFTF diamond and tells her that Wyatt owns the diamond now. Aly is stunned. Ivy says that Wyatt showed it to her before he gave it to Hope and Aly says – you know what he’s doing don’t you? He’s using it to get Hope again – right after Liam and Hope allowed Wyatt to come back to Forrester. Ivy doesn’t think Wyatt should get all the blame and Hope is not entirely blameless in all of this. Wyatt and Liam talk on the roof. Liam brings up Ivy and asks Wyatt if he noticed her. Wyatt makes a crack about office romances not working unless….. Liam says unless…. He asks Wyatt what’s going on. Hope is preoccupied and Deacon asks what’s going on. He tells Hope to tell him about it – noting that he hasn’t been the greatest father. Hope starts to tell him about it and then says. I’m not making any sense am I? Bill tells Brooke – it’s not over. Ridge says - it was over when you told Justin to drop me in the Gulf. Bill tries to explain and says he wanted to teach Ridge a lesson – not have him killed. Ridge says to cut him loose – Spencer’s not worth it and never was. Liam knows that Wyatt is happy to be back and wants to know if Ivy is part of the reason. Wyatt tells Liam he’s getting way ahead of himself and if he was in the market for a diamond – it would have to be perfect in every single way. Liam brings up the HFTF diamond and Wyatt says – there’s only one of those. They talk a little more and then Liam asks if there’s really a mutiny happening. They laugh about it. Hope takes a phone call and then hangs up and then tells Deacon about the HFTF diamond. Deacon says that Wyatt showed him the diamond and says it’s everything you said it is and a whole lot more. Bill tells Brooke he never wanted what happened to happen and he used all of his resources to help. He tells Brooke I should have told you the truth. Katie and Ridge keep interrupting and Katie says that Bill belittled Ridge and made him doubt himself and them doubt him too. Ridge says he wants what’s best for Brooke and for RJ. Brooke says she thought the four of them could live in peace with their children and Bill says it can still happen. Ridge tells Bill to just get out. Bill asks for five minutes alone with Brooke. Brooke asks Katie and Ridge to leave and they do. Bill thanks Brooke for giving them a moment and she says don’t thank me – you have no idea what I’m going to say. Ivy tells Aly she likes Hope but, why is she playing these guys – if she’s playing them? Aly wants to know if Hope accepted it and Ivy isn’t sure but, is that appropriate to accept a gift like that? Aly says – of course not and Hope knows that. Ivy says it doesn’t explain the embrace or the way that Hope was looking at Wyatt – or does it. Liam tells Wyatt he’s going to go find Hope and Wyatt tells him to go spend some time with your lady. Liam leaves and Wyatt says – while you still can and smiles. Deacon says – I’m guessing Wyatt showed it to you. Hope takes it out of her pocket and shows Deacon. Hope says that Wyatt said that he would give it to her but, now that he has… and tells Deacon – I can’t really keep it, can I? He tells Hope, yeah you can keep that thing and run through the streets screaming. Deacon asks if Hope knows how much it’s worth and also the promotional value for her line. Hope says Wyatt keeps telling her that. Hope says – after it’s over – I would have to give it back. Deacon wonders why and Hope says because it’s inappropriate for an engaged woman to accept a diamond from another man. Katie and Ridge walk in. Deacon says – you did it didn’t you. You confronted Spencer and he sang like a bird. Hope wants to know what’s going on and Ridge and Katie fill her in. Hope is stunned and Deacon asks how Brooke is and please tell him that she’s kicked Spencer to the curb. Ridge says – not yet and that’s what worries me. Bill tries to touch Brooke and she says – don’t. Brooke says – I thought I knew the man I was about to marry today. A man who fought so hard to spend more time with his son. A man who valued family over everything – including business. She tells Bill she didn’t think it was possible to do the things Ridge said he did. She tells Bill that she knew he could do hurtful things but, to be intentionally cruel. She tells Bill he’s a liar. She said they stood there in that suite – all of them wondering what happened to Ridge and you stood there and acted like you knew nothing. You said nothing and you claim that you love me more than anything in this world. Bill says – I do love you more than anything in this world and I was wrong. Brooke says – wrong? You were heartless – you were cruel. Bill says he let his anger at Ridge… I let it consume me. He tells Brooke he won’t keep anything from her again. He says – please don’t let this derail our plans – say you’ll try and understand and forgive. Brooke says – I am going to search my heart for forgiveness but, this reckless anger that you have – I can’t take it. Deacon asks what happens now – are they sending the cops over to Brooke’s. Ridge says – no cops. Ridge says he’s concerned about Brooke and Katie says she has to end this. Bill says if this is where you tell me you can’t marry me. Brooke says – you can’t possibly believe that I would – not now – not anytime soon. She says – you lied and betrayed me. Bill says he knows what he did. Brooke says – she doesn’t know anymore about him or her and what they had together. I doubted a man who loved and protected me over a man who…. Bill says – he’ll own what he did – no excuses. He recites the words he said on their wedding day in Abu Dhabi and says he still sees them that way and they can’t let this or anything tear them apart. He says he can never let that happen. Ivy says the Spencer brothers are really something – giving Hope that diamond that Wyatt is really upping the stakes and Aly says that Wyatt shouldn’t be upping anything. Hope wants Liam and Wyatt is using that diamond to get Hope in his trailer again. Hope looks at her diamond and sighs. Liam comes in and Hope’s back is turned to him. He says he was looking all over for her. Hope sighs and turns around and shows Liam the diamond and slightly laughs. She nervously says – Wyatt gave it to me. Liam says – a replica of the HFTF diamond? Hope says – nope – this is the real thing. Hope tells Liam that Riccardo left it to Wyatt and Wyatt gave it to her. Liam says – just like he said he would. Hope says – it was a real shock – a real shock to Wyatt and to me. Hope says that Riccardo had no heirs. Liam says – and Wyatt lucked out and now he’s the proud owner of the HFTF diamond and he’s already using it to his advantage. Liam says – damn it, damn it. I should have anticipated this would happen. Liam says – you know you can’t keep that right? You have to give it back. Like today. Hope sort of nods and stares at Liam.
