Equality and diversity policy needed in Garissa county! I used to respect Governor Nadhif Jama Aden But There comes a point in every mans life when he has to say: Enough is enough. We need a equality and diversity strategy for Gariisa county. Equality is about ‘creating a fairer society, where everyone can participate and has the opportunity to fulfil their potential’ By eliminating prejudice and discrimination, the Garissa county government is NOT delivering services that are personal, fair and diverse and a society that is healthier and happier. If recent statement about Gawasco new leadership appointment is true then its absolutely disastrous and extreme nepotism. Where is justice,accountability and transparency in Garissa county...from the Board chairman to watchman from one tribe?We know The Chairman of GAWASCO comes from the North of our county So the MD must either come from South, fafi,Balambala or Garissa township. Again if Hon Shukran Husband is appointed that itself is scandalous act and Impunity of the year.We need diversity and equality when employing staff of any government institutions or delivering services.Diversity literally means difference. When it is used as a contrast or addition to equality, it is about recognising individual as well as group differences, treating people as individuals, and placing positive value on diversity in the community. The governor, the speaker, county secretary, All staff,drivers,Secretaries,civil servants All MDs from the North? Its not fair, justice and equality. Garissa county is a cosmopolitan county where we have people from different background,tribe,religious,disability,ethnicity....where are minorities,corner tribes and disabled opportunities? Debate intellectually!
