Ernst Middendorp has confirmed to Soccer Laduma that he will be taking over the reigns at Chippa United. Middendorp told the Siya crew on Christmas day that the deal for him to taking over the coaching job from Roger Sikhakhane was complete. When asked about taking over at Chippa, Middendorp said, “Yes, it’s done.” Chippa will be the fifth PSL club Middendorp coaches following Kaizer Chiefs, two stints at Maritzburg United, Golden Arrows, and most recently Bloemfontein Celtic. He left Celtic earlier this month, and was replaced by the man he took over from a year ago, Clinton Larsen.
