Establishment of Baripada medical college is in limbo; The establishment of state sponsored government medical college at Baripada may be delayed further over the site selection which is yet to be finalized. Earlier it was announced that admission to this medical college would start from the academic session 2015-16. The Mayurbhanj district administration has already identified two sites at Rangamatia on Baripada- Chitrada road and Kainphulia on Baripada-Deuli road to house the new institution. Previously 10 acres of land was selected at Maharajpur area which was found to be unsuitable when the high powered committee visited the spot two months back. The unnecessary delay in selection of site has raised deep anguish among he public. It seems that the peoples representatives are least concerned of the inordinate delay to set up the much awaited medical college. I request all the people of Mayurbhanj district to raise their voices to expedite the set of the medical college.
