Esther 3 2”And all the kings servants, that were in the kings gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.” 8”And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the kings laws: therefore it is not for the kings profit to suffer them. 9If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring it into the kings treasuries. 10And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews enemy.” Once Haman realized that Mordecai did not bow down or give him any respect his pride was hurt and he had to do something about it. Since he was promoted and he knew Mordacai was a Jew it was easy to wipe out his enemy, easy. Or so he thought. (V8-10) This is were he manipulates the King to murder “certain people”, notice that he doesn’t clarify. Even though Hamans manipulative ways are to destroy Gods people, God turned it into a good thing. It took courage for Esther to stand up to Haman and to the King. God put Esther in this place of authority for a reason and we are able to see it. God used this woman just like he can use us, for His glory. Even though we may think that a situation is bad God turns it for his good. We are privileged to know and to serve the God who created everything. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 Ashley
