*Eternal Perspective* Proverbs 21:17 (KJV) .He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. ../.. . Along with a long-term perspective of self-discipline, we must take an eternal perspective with regard to obedience to God. Do you ever wonder if your prayers, words of encouragement, act of service, and gifts of time and talent matter? Does your private obedience to God count for anything? Obedience is not just a matter of following Gods rules; it is a means to impact eternity. . We may not know the impact we have on the lives of others, simply by being obedient in seemingly small things. There may be no reward or acknowledgment in this lifetime, but when we view life from an eternal perspective, every act of obedience matters. God uses it in ways that benefit us beyond our understanding. Just think on this, our lives as we live in obedience to God, may be the only Bible some lost person reads.
