Even Jesus’ disciples had problems with prayer and asked Jesus to teach them. Read His lesson in Matthew 6: “But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him”. Muslims need the mosque to pray or even better go to Mecca, but Christians can stay at home. Did you see that Jesus calls God three times ‘your Father’? If we pray to ‘our Father’ we don’t have to travel. Today I read a quote from John Bunyan in Twitter: “In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart.”
