Even lower middle class in Pakistan is not paying the tax due. Have we ever thought if we have a small shop and earning 40000 per month we should be paying tax which we do not. 15% advance income tax on mobile cards is adjustable/refundable. If we become responsible, get an National Tax Number and submit our tax return every year and our income is less than 400,000 per year, we will get refunded all the advance income tax paid on mobile usage and other services where we pay advance income tax. And if we are liable to tax, this advance income tax will be deducted from the total amount of tax bill. So friends go ahead and get your advance income tax back every year if you are not liable to tax. Do not blame the law and government if you are not active enough to claim tax back or if you are not submitting tax returns because you are liable to further tax.
