Evening Ladies and Gents! :-) Some of you may or may not be aware of yours truly currently doing Guitar duties for the UK based Gothic Rock band Grooving In Green which unfortunately had to be put on hiatus this time last year… I’m happy to say that both myself and Grooving in Green are now off hiatus and will be returning in 2014/2015 in a BIG way. We have a brand new lineup of myself and Pete Finnemore on guitars, Tron on Vocals and our 2 new members which are the fantastic Switch on Bass Guitar duties (all the way from Italy) and the brilliant Thomas T Cat on drums. Both of which have great track records performing with internationally renowned acts in the past and currently. The success of our 2nd album Stranglehold reaching the number 1 position in the European Alternative Album chart took us very much by surprise and totally blew us away. Especially given that we charted above the likes of New Order! You can see the official release from the European Alternative Album Chart at the following link: groovingingreen.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/albums2.pdf The Stranglehold album (as well as the previous Post Traumatic Stress album) is available now as both a CD release and digital download on Itunes & Bandcamp as well as on Spotify & all the usual outlets, and feature guest appearances on guitar and bass by none other than Tony Pettitt (FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM) and Stephen Carey (THE EDEN HOUSE). The Stranglehold album was also mastered by the legendary Andy Jackson who’s other credits include Pink Floyd’s The Wall, A Momentary Lapse Of Reason and Division Bell albums, as well as albums for David Gilmour, Roger Waters, The Boomtown Rats and Fields Of The Nephilim. The new Grooving in Green lineup will be rehearsing together for the first time on Easter weekend with a brand new live set and we’re already being offered some incredible live dates and festival dates across Europe and the rest of the world for 2014 & 2015. All these and any other official news on Grooving In Green will of course be announced via our Facebook page. Stay tuned for now ladies & gents. Your support is massively appreciated and we’re aiming to bring some great live shows to you very soon (and maybe even some new material…). Heres a link to the title track of our latest album, I hope you enjoy it and come see us on the road soon! youtube/watch?v=RnRrXQcQo5I
