Event Day – What to expect Event will be held at Riverside Park October 19th 2014 Internal Riverside car park road will be blocked off so please use parking along Monash Drive or alternatively public or street parking on Curlewis Street. Car pool or walk Welcome ceremony begins at 10:30am Presentation ceremony with trophies awarded will begin at 4:00pm Free musical entertainment and children’s activities (not a supervised activity) For purchase, food and drink available on the day. Also, the ‘Rock climbing wall’ and t-shirt printing available at a low cost The Course • The run is approximately a 3km or 6km or a 9km looped course • Water - There are three water stations around the course. There will also be a bottled water at the finish line if required • Cameras – We suggest wrapping smart phones and cameras in cling wrap or placing them in a zip lock bag for protection Colour Zones • You will pass through five Colour Zones on course: pink, orange, blue, green and yellow. • The colour is 100% natural, food grade corn starch • We suggest wearing a bandanna, glasses or goggles if you are worried about getting the colour in your mouth or eyes First Aid • There is a main first aid station at the rotunda and three other first aid stations along the course In case you need assistance Rules and Safety 1. Imagine the track as a road, walkers and runners keep to the LEFT of the track and don’t cross the white line. Course will be marked where possible and please adhere to instructions and direction. 2. Wheel chairs and prams are the only wheels permitted on course (Please leave bikes, scooters etc. at home where possible as there will be many people sharing the track) 3. If you are running with small children please watch and direct them through the event 4. If you are concerned with any part of the experience please feel free to wear safety glasses, a bandanna, dust mask or similar. Should you have any difficulties whilst on course please notify a committee member (blue coloured shirts) or a volunteer 5. No pets - please keep your animals at home 6. Please follow the directions provided by event officials and volunteers 7. HAVE FUN and remain respectful and courteous to everyone around you
