With over $200,000 raised by the end of last night, its safe to say that the 2nd Annual Urban Cabaret Fundraiser was a huge success!!! So many incredible talents converged on the Monona Terrace to make the magic that it was.....but instead of recapping on everything, Id like to extend a personal thanks to some special people that I had the pleasure of immediate collaboration with..... Hedi (lead coordinator), Jacquesha (decor), and Jane (stage manager).....there was an enormous amount of planning that went into it, and the ideas definitely transformed from the time planning began to their conception last night....but I couldnt be more honored to be a part of what took shape. These women know how to get things done!!! Kailey, Craig, and Sylvan, the signs that I designed could not have been possible without your help. Kailey tightened bolts. Craig created the stencil. And my dad let me turn his warehouse (Florescent Flooring) into a manic woodshop for an entire week. The Home Depot donated EVERYTHING for cause.....no questions asked....the manager simply said, I believe in the Urban League of Greater Madison, and I walked out with everything needed to build. Jessica, Alejandro, Alex, and Jacqueline for your volunteered time. Alejandro, you make a pretty good body guard ;) All of Monona Terrace Community and Convention Centers staff.....its difficult to imagine a better partner to host an event. You were flawlessly accommodating!!! Jen, you were a godsend!!! Christy for your facepainting, and Graydon for your photography!! All my friends and family that came out to support....Erin
