Ever since August 2007 when we bought The Croft we have struggled - TopicsExpress

Ever since August 2007 when we bought The Croft we have struggled to pacify neighbours who have moved into residential premises close to our venues and then made noise complaints. Recently the Government brought in a law that allowed property owners to convert business premises into residential without needing planning permission, but there was no provision to protect existing businesses such as music venues that pre-existed. Last year we had our local MP, Kerry McCarthy, bring the matter up on our behalf in the House Of Commons, but there was still no assurances were given. It seems now in light of what has happened at The Fleece Bristol and other music venues that a petition has been started to try and help get these matters resolved. I would urge all fans of live music to sign the petition.
