Ever try to explain what Autism sounds like to others and they just really dont understand? I use this movie as a tip to educate parents what Autism is like. In this movie, Mel Gibson goes to a store and hears ALL the womens thoughts and he gets overwhelmed and has a melt-down. I tell people if they watched the movie and remembered the part about Mel Gibson hearing all the women thoughts at once, is very similar to what a child with Autism hears at all times. Obviously there is more to autism then that, but at least it gives others some insight to what our children experience and why they do the things they do.
