Every December 4th I recall the life Ive lived, as this date is - TopicsExpress

Every December 4th I recall the life Ive lived, as this date is one of the markers in my life. I take time to reflect on everything that Ive been through. Its the anniversary of my last day of active service in the US Marines. The jobs Ive worked, the people Ive met places Ive been, the hardships and laughter that I’ve shared in the past 26 years. This year I have been thinking of people that are or were in my life. Good friends and bad. Some I’m still in acquaintance with some have drifted off. The one thing that I hold so dear to me is the camaraderie that had in the Corps, with guys who today I am still friends with. I’ve been lucky enough to have a close enough camaraderie with some of the people that I’ve worked with as a NYC Bouncer. But, just as well as I’ve have those few guys that trust with my life, I have been fooled by those who either once were friends, or those who were friends just long enough until they got what they wanted from me. A sad thought, but true enough to each of us. How I wish at times I was still closer to the guys I served with; we fought with each other, talked shit to each other, pulled pranks on one another, but in the end, we had each other’s back regardless. Even after 26 years of separation, they are still the type of friends I wish had more of today. Thats what I reminisce about this year. Glen Beck
