Every damn sentence of this article resonates with my being. Systemic racism is very much a real issue that has existed in our society throughout history; however, it wasnt until I learned about our history through a critical lens and a shit ton of primary sources, until I actively challenged my own privilege and biases as an Asian American woman, and until I realized that silent acknowledgement just further perpetuated racial oppression that I started being more vocal about institutionalized social, political, and economic inequality. thesaltcollective.org/asian-americans-might-talk-ferguson/
