Every dark cloud has a silver lining. I got hospitalised and am just out of it today. ICU of the hospital provided me with an opertunity to be with myself. I read two outstanding biographies of two pioneering scientists in four days. One of highly decorated scientist Dr. Shanti Swarup Bhanagar who set up 12 national science labs and shaped up Indian council of scientific research; the other of Rai Bhadar Ruchi Ram Sahni who was leading Professor of chemistry at government college Lahore, an outstanding social worker and author of first instrumental workshop at the university from his own resources and efforts. He faced the Britishers with grit always paid them in their own coin. He returned his title of Rai Bahadur in support of khilafat movement. It was treat to go through the biographies of these icon scientists. I recommend all scientists to read these biographies
