Every one of you who votes for a Democrat this autumn deserves the fate you will eventually be dealt. Todays committee hearing regarding Susan Dench was one of the most disgusting displays I have ever heard of. You want to disagree with her ideas ... okay, go for it and make her defend them. You all allowed a false accusation to be made and then used it as part of a reason to not confirm her. From the Bangor Daily News: Rep. Victoria Kornfield, D-Bangor, said partisanship had nothing to do with her vote Friday against Dench’s nomination. In addition to Dench’s positions on gender roles, Kornfield said she was concerned about the plagiarism allegations. “I take that very seriously,” she said. “It’s a matter of integrity.” Who is this woman? Does she have an opponent? I am on in Bangor. I want her out of the Legislature. She based her vote on a false accusation and she claims to take that very seriously ... What a joke She is right. It is a matter of integrity .... HERS This is what Matt Stone of the Bangor Daily News said ... wonder why she did not check with him first if she take that very seriously ... This is what he said ... Matthew Stone, the BDN’s opinion page editor, said he had not heard the plagiarism allegations before Friday and that he has inspected the column, which cited Bradford. “Susan Dench was not the first to make the argument that the Pilgrims were communists, but her BDN column on the subject was properly sourced, and the writing was her own,” said Stone. Dench’s final column for the BDN was in July. So I guess the woman who is quoted as taking it very seriously and questioning Denchs integrity apparently did not take it seriously enough to actually find out if it happened FOLKS .... This is no different than when these folks vote on bills that become law. They do not read them, do not understand them and typically can not tell you the basic details of the bill.
