Every situation has something to teach you, if youre open to it. I started working on backbends again on Thursday. My up dogs felt strong again. I did my first wheel without a modification pain-free. I also attempted a drop-back using the wall. Its been two weeks since I felt tightness in my low back after dipping too much weight there during an unassisted drop-back. This little set back has taught me so much. Patience. To pay closer attention to my body. But also how important it is to learn balance. Balancing my flexibility with strength. Back bends were a huge part of my practice and The past two weeks Ive had to focus on my strength side, which doesnt come easy for me. Im a bendy yogi. I used to avoid certain asanas because I thought I wasnt strong enough, or it was impossible. But Ive learned that I AM strong. And poses that seemed intimidating were happening. Grateful. So grateful. Im not just a bendy yogi. I realized I have strength too. What a beautiful thing. My back is getting healthy again. But My practice even stronger. ❤️
