Every so often something amazing happens in your life. Many years - TopicsExpress

Every so often something amazing happens in your life. Many years ago when we first opened I met a very interesting lady who came to stay at BWR. She had been working hard and was very tired and had just completed a weekend working as a carer and was sleep deprived. My first real encounter with her was on her first morning when I came out to set up breakfast and there she was sitting in her robe on the lounge waxing lyrical about the aliens that had landed in the paddock. She remarked that I should get out my shotgun and go and deal with them. I kindly escorted her back to bed where she slept for a few more hours. Some months later at a sculpture exhibition we found our aliens and this is the story behind them (in brief). Judith went on to be a regular at BWR and her eccentricities abounded. She was first to tell me if something was missing or something not right in the room. She would demand Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert and then criticise my baking skills. She was always a challenge. But still she came and stayed and we became quite close. When our old dog Boney was dying she stayed with him as I had a catering commitment. She sat with him, sang to him, massaged him and when he passed over she surrounded him with flowers and lit a candle. We wept together and mourned his loss. Well today I mourn her loss after she finally succumbed to the bastard cancer that was eating her away. Another great person for the world to lose and another guest who is spending her new found life in the b & b in the heavens. I sure hope Judith that this b & b is to your standard, I will miss your visits.
