Every "tweet" is a few seconds of "fame" in your own deluded mind. Can you imagine what it would be like to actually have to live in a crowd of invisible people, equal and similar to your virtual crowd of purely internet "friends", having to listen to their "voices" all of the time ? The fact that you can turn it off and turn it on, by starting up and shutting down your web browser, or browsing away from social networking sites and various blogs that serve similar purpose, does not make it so very different. Neither do the pictures beside the messages. You remain a virtual unknown, in a crowd of unknowns, all essentially invisible, immaterial, to each other. Your diminished ability as to discernment as to what is real and what is purely virtual is something that you deny most vehemently, but it remains a fact of most such lives, despite their most vehement denial. Perhaps they fear that truth most of all.
