Granted we should respect the elderly cause of etc etc etc and cause we will age too and we must empathise etc. But the elderly should respect people around them too. A senior citizen, who was obviously clear- sighted enough to be bobbing her head out of the window and pointing animatedly at things while chatting with her friend placed her hand on the seat next to her while looking at me standing there up and down and just refusing to remove her hand. I would understand if she was uncontrollably obese with fats encroaching onto the seat. But she wasnt. So I had to audibly ask may I have this seat please? After which she shot me a dirty look while I finally rested my butt. Respect is earned, not plastered upon you the more you wrinkle or because you are wrinkled. Geddit?
