Everyone has wisdom concerning something, but not everyone has wisdom about everything. Nobody knows everything, although some of us think we do. If youre trying to accomplish something, its a GOOD thing to ask advice, especially from people who were successful already at what youre trying to do, whether its stay happily married or pick a used car. With that being said, people will offer you unsolicited advice. Or, youll ask advice and what you get doesnt seem feasible for you. People whove never raised a kid, will tell you how. Single people will offer you marriage advice. You can give an ear to those people but you DONT have to take their advice. You can say thank you, I will think about that. If they get offended when you dont take their advice, thats something they need to deal with within their own selves. Youre not obligated to do something just because they think its best. If I want to learn to rebuild an engine, I wont be asking the UPS guy how to do it. If I want to make a light and fluffy cake, I wont ask someone whos never baked. Everyone wants to feel their opinion is worth something. They are.....just not for what youre looking for.
