Everyone is always asking for my dressing recipe....so I thought I would try to write it down and share. I never measure anything so here is my shot at writing it down. Daphnes Stuffing/Dressing 1 sm package Pepperidge Farm Herb stuffing 1 sm package Pepperidge Farm Cornbread stuffing 1 large onion chopped 1 large green pepper chopped 2-3 celery stalks chopped fine 6-8 chicken thighs boiled and deboned…then chopped or shredded chicken broth….I use the broth from the chicken thighs 3 large eggs ground sage to taste……the herb stuffing has some in it already salt and pepper onion powder to taste drippings from the turkey pan about 1/4 stuck of melted butter I chop the onions, pepper, and celery in the food processor and then add a little olive oil to moisten and pre cook then in the microwave until tender. Add all the ingredients in a large bowl….(It makes a lot so I use what I need and freeze the rest for later). Moisten with the chicken broth and drippings from the turkey pan ….not to soupy but moist. Press into a greased pan and cook on 350 until firm and browned….I cut into squares and top with turkey and gravy. Gravy recipe: large can of chicken broth 3-4 tablespoons plain flour turkey giblets chopped (optional) dripping from the turkey pan onion powder to taste salt and pepper to taste Mix the flour in chicken broth adding small amounts and stirring to get any lumps out cook over medium heat in a sauce pan until thickened.. You can add more broth if it gets too thick. Enjoy!
