Everyone is out at the beach enjoying this excruciatingly hot Perth weather and Im at the gym doing squats for the second time today. Typical. Using a light weight and slow-moderate tempo to really focus on my upright upper body position to ensure proper activation in the glutes and hamstrings. Tipping forward too much in your squat can cause an over loading of your quads and lower back and an under-development in your glutes and hamstrings. If this sounds like you, get someone to have a look at your squat technique or even better, video yourself doing it.
