Everyone likes to get things done. But how many of us take the time to plan on when or where we are going to take breaks through out the day to rejuvenate our minds, bodies, emotions and spirits. When we listen to the words of people who have done great things in life they speak about having the wisdom to know that they needed to take time to let their minds drift, bodies rest and dream or think. Who is to say that sitting quietly and just enjoying a time of rest and relaxation doesn’t do more for us than running all over looking aggressive and building up blood pressure? Silence and being still with deep down thought can be just as active as making a big stir. When I have worked with people who are in their last days, the words they have shared almost always were the same. "I wish I would have taken more time to play, to take it easy to really enjoy life and living, family and friends." There is nothing wrong with refusing to run ourselves to death each and every day in our belief that if we are not doing something then our thinking is wrong and we should be busy 12 - 16 hours a day and losing our good health and well being in the process.
