Everyones saying that theyre in Dayton for WGI... so Ill jump on the bandwagon. Yes, Im in Dayton! I got to hang out with some good friends Tuesday night, and again all day Wednesday! We played in the Bob Wiles Memorial Golf Tournament today (well, some people golfed. I dont actually consider the travesty that I bring to the table as golf)... then the WGI Scholarship Steak Fry, and the staff meeting... then the WGI Scholarship meeting. Havent seen a guard yet, but super busy so far. Thursday morning is early morning setup of the UD Arena, then the first guard of about 200 that well see is at 9am. I love this week. I get to see so many friends that I only get to see once a year. I get to see tons of the best guards in the world. And if thats not enough, Sunday is the Mia Michaels master class! I have many great memories of being here with guards that I taught, with new friends as I did the WGI Judges Academy, and then as part of the volunteer staff. Ive done just about every job thats here, and while some where more fun than others, Ive learned a lot and seen a LOT! A lot of great people are gone and a lot of great people are just discovering the satisfaction of helping run such a fantastic event. Happy Debbie, Happy WGI, good skills, good spins, good luck!
