Everything i have ever challenged myself to has just paled into insignificance in comparison with this YMCA Massive Murray Paddle. (Including The Biggest Loser). I have learned so much more than the pain, grit, tears and determination needed to get through this journey. The k4 teams were amazing and i have NEVER been a part of such incredible comradeship and team spirit. The volunteers were amazing and so good to hear the many stories that bring them to want to be at this event every year. This would not happen without them as these guys work hard at bringing it together and wow they are so encouraging and connected to the whole atmosphere! This was not a bloody TV show! This was real life adventure where all walks of life participated including indigenous troubled kids were brought in with police to work together as teams...I AM TELLING YOU THERE WAS NOTHING MORE EMPOWERING THAN WATCHING THESE KIDS AND POLICE ALL LINE UP TO ARRIVE AT THE FINISH LINE TOGETHER WAVING FLAGS AND SHARING TEARS OF JOY. This is a bloody amazing event and i encourage ANYONE who would like a healthy challenge to join us in November 2015! Thankyou YMCA Victoria for giving me this lifechanging opportunity. I love the work you guys do for thousands of kids around Australia and i implore you it is not too late to donate to the YMCA Charities. You will find the link on this page.
