Everything that someone does for you, is a demonstration of what they understand love to be. Instead of being angry that its not the brand of love that you need; say thank you, with sincere gratitude. Accept love as they are able to show it, and guard your heart. Adjust your thinking, so that youre not repeatedly affected by the lack of whatever you need. Some show love by giving... by serving ... By touching... Etc; because they dont understand that each person truly needs a unique method of RECEIVING love. Dont interpret their demonstration as shallow or empty... They just dont know. Once YOU know, through Godly wisdom, what youre dealing with... You can move on. There may still be a void, but God can heal that void. It sounds radical; but he can. He can also shield you from the blows of the enemy. Because please believe... As you gain wisdom, and start to compartmentalize your expectations. The enemy will try to use that, and confuse it with DIVISION. Take control. It starts with your emotions and expectations. Remind yourself that they will never be what you WANT them to be... Ever! Prayerfully they will be what God called them to be, and love them for it. If necessary... From a distance.
