Everything you allow yourself to say should be true, but not everything true should be said. I guess Ive always prided myself on giving shockingly blunt assessments that are most definitely true and able to be backed up with pages of facts. But will it be hurtful or helpful? Lots of times I do bite my tongue believe it or not, but many, many other times, I dont stop to ask myself and God that question--is this helpful or hurtful? An open rebuke is better than hidden love. Prov 27:5 Yeah, sometimes I just cant wait to rebuke, especially when someone steps in the middle of my life with their own twisted version of half-truths. Most of the truth that isnt photographed or known...is that I sit around my house crying and scared to death. Its just not in my nature to show that weakness. Humble and thankful--I think a good, solid Christian marriage needs both spouses to be both. I was rarely humble. He was rarely thankful. I think we will both be brought to our knees and realize so much over the next few weeks. Just think how happy you would be if you lost everything you have right now, and then got it back again. (Frances Rodman... Dennis brother I assume) Well just think how humble you would be if you lost the most important person in your life... and never got him back.
