Exactly 15 days ago I had written why we need to move away from commercial soaps and towards handmade soaps.... After reading the write-up, your next question will then be...Right! there are plenty of handmade herbal soaps in Super Markets that are so reasonable priced; so, what are they all about? Arent they the same as these Handmade Soaps? The answer is a big NO!! Handmade organic soaps are chemical free. Real Organic soaps made from 100% Natural ingredient are completely different from MELT-&-POUR Herbal soaps. Melt-&-Pour Herbal soaps are nothing but a few herbal additives in petro-chemical soap base. These herbal soaps in soap base are handmade but certainly not Organic. Next time when you visit KHADI BHANDAR or a Super Market, remember to visit the Handmade Soaps Section; you will see some very colourful, translucent soaps that look like glycerine soaps, pick up one of these and read the ingredients very carefully...after giving you an attractive list of herbs and goodness the final ingredient will be soap base, and in some cases permitted colours.... Well.....my Organic Soaps with 100% Natural Ingredients are free of soap base and Mica colours. My soaps take the colour and frangrance of whatever natural oils, herbs, flowers and vegetable extracts are used in them. All the varieties my soaps are Vagan except Milky Ways and Baby Soaps In my next post I shall elaborate on the goodness and benefits packed into my soaps.
