Excellent Location would stay again Stayed at the ariston at the beginning of October with my husband and son. It had been a wish of mine to visit Rome for as long as I can remember and I was not disappointed. On arrival staff were friendly and efficient. Room clean and a reasonable size but when visiting rome you do not spend a lot if time in your room anyway. Bathroom was clean with bath, large shower and plentiful toiletries, disgustingly painted green and red and defiantly needs redecorating but functional. We were given 2 small double and 1 camp style bed for the 3 of us which was fine. Hotel bar lacking atmosphere but cheaper drinks and free snacks at happy hour were a nice touch. Hotel staff very helpful, printing of our return flight boarding passes for us with no problems. I had been worried about the area after reading some if the reviews in here and I hate big cities but we had no problems at all and always felt safe, just make sure you keep your wits about you and use common sense ( something a lot if people loose on holiday) we didnt use the trains as the colluseum was only a 20 minute walk and the Vatican City via Spanish steps about 90 minutes. Overall a good stay for a weekend site seeing. Would stay again.
