This year he had recent disappointment in OUATIMD but he is ready with "Boss" in October which looks like a sure shot hit. Today we bring you an EXCLUSIVE Update on Akshay starrer "Gabbar" which will hit the cinemas next year on 15th August (expected release date). As we all know this is a remake of super hit south flick "Ramanna". Film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and in a way reunion of "Rowdy Rathore" team. Though Viacom 18 might step in shoes of U TV. Pre - production work started few days back and preparations will be in full flow from September onwards. Film will go on floor in December end or January first week. But here is the big one! In all probability, none other than southern siren Amla might star opposite Akshay. Though there were rumors that Shruti Hassan or Illeana will play female lead but at the moment Amla is the front runner and almost locked for the coveted role. Film will have one larger than life item song which will have a guest appearance from a leading actress (name yet to be confirmed).
