Exercising and eating better are a 1000 times easier to think about and take action on when youre a) not depressed, and b) feeling ok. Ive been walking more, downloading health-tracking apps, have set aside time to try my new yoga app, and am testing out a new nutrient-shake for workday lunches.... all because so much of my pain and depression are gone since my surgery. If youve always been a relatively healthy person... dont try to tell overweight and/or depressed people that they just need to... anything. Now that I get to see this side of the coin, its frikken easy, man. You have no idea how impossible it seems from the other side.
