But it seems that Katy Perry, 30, has some unfinished business with her 37-year-old ex, as she was spotted enjoying a dinner date at a friends house with John in Beverly Hills, California, over the weekend. And it appears that the chart-toppers so enjoyed their night, they decided to keep things going, with a source revealing that John spent the next day at Katys palatial home. The singers made great efforts not to be seen together as they made their way into their friends house arriving and leaving in separate cars. Once the meal was over, the pair continued separately on to Katys nearby home, where the source said John remained until 4pm the following afternoon. Ironically, soon after his break-up with Katy, John spoke about the reason why women often decide to get back together with their ex-boyfriends. He told Americas Sirius Radio: ‘It is a connection to the past, a reaction to fear of the unknown. They go back with a guy they dont like just because they know how to get to his bathroom in the dark.’ The star, who had an on/off relationship with Katy from 2012, went on to gush about the Dark Horse singer, saying: ‘Shes extremely driven and extremely serious about doing great work.’ Apparently, her drive and determination may have been part of the cause of the unravelling of their romance, as well as their differing approaches to life.
