Exposure therapy is a technique in behavior therapy intended to treat anxiety disorders. It involves the exposure of the patient to the feared object or context or emotion without any danger, in order to overcome their anxiety...studies have demonstrated its effectiveness in the treatment of anxiety disorders. It is staying with the program; not fleeing; not disassociating, but practicing allowing the feeling to come and pass. (Anxiety lasts longer when you fight it) Stand and let it pass and it will fade. As you practicing Exposure Therapy the attacks get less frequent and not as powerful, then just a slight feeling that is manageable.
