Extract from novel: his thoughts returned once again to the Announcement and the disturbing artefacts on the Moon, and the inner turmoil increased, as the enormity of the situation sank in even deeper. How would a Torah believing Jew deal with it all, he wondered, or even the Muslim who believed in creation? He knew little about the Hindu or Sikh faith, and even less about Buddhism and others, so had no idea how they’d fare in coming to terms with a new reality. But surely, even those in denial of creation, or those of no religious belief whatsoever, would find it a struggle to fit things into their working model, wouldn’t they? Whichever way he looked at it, Genesis would come under attack as never before, and nothing seemed to make much sense.
