FAYEMIS GOVT. IS RECKLESS - ACCORD ACCORD in Ekiti State has berated the government of Dr. Kayode Fayemi over financial recklessness. In a statement by the state secretary of the party, Mr. Lanre Fasuan,the party lamented the rate of poverty and high level of indebtedness in the state saying the economy of the state is in coma. Fasuan who is a former Commissioner in the state Primary Education Board and also the son of Chief Deji Fasuan, Chairman Committee on creation of Ekiti State,stated that the APC government in Ekiti is being run far from transparency,accountability and public participation adding that the budget being passed by the Ekiti House of Assembly is a mere paper work that non of the government ministries and parastatals complies with. He challenged the state Commissioner for finance to make public the financial books to prove if the budget runs in tandem with the spending of government. On the high rate of poverty in the state,the party affirmed that it is a deliberate act by the APC government to decimate the voters economically before the 2014 election in view of their plans to distribute money at voting centers. The party was quick to add that Ekiti people are set to desperately vote out the present government affirming that on governorship election day in Ekiti,money will be de emphasized and people will vote their minds saying that in 2003,Otunba Niyi Adebayo was a victim in this regard and I hope he would advise Fayemi accordingly.
