Involvement of UK in operation BLUESTAR@AMRISTAR in 1984.: Yesterday this was the topic by ARNAB. I am thorughly upset with the way &style he conducted the debate. FIRST it is not an internal matter & seen across the border also. Second the purpose it is going to serve. David Cameroon The British Prime minister have ordered a probe and answered in the Prliament asking MPs to wait for the report. Arnab said in 1984 & now it is LABOUR party ruling in UK.In INDIA also it is only Cong,Ruling in 1984 7 Now. Will we accept & order a probe. RK Dawan out rightly rejected the evidence, A media person and his report in a BRITISH TABLOID & the classified documents the reporter produced in support of his write up ALL FALSE because INDIRA GANDHI who personally supervised the whole operation,by nature will not seek any help from external sources that too UK. PARTHASARATHY expressed his dislike on the style the debate was conducted as it is an international issue & to be handled carefully. He was in Pakistan @that time and aware oF certain things. 1.MONEY to support for Bhinderan walla was flowing from UK 2. Pakistan under ZIA -UL-HAQ was fanning fundamentalism across the border & creating turbulence in the minds of SIKHS in INDIA. 3.NAWAZ SHARIF was highly involved in that & he is PM in PAK.. 4.INFO sharing is routine, and it could have been possible that such SHARING OF INTELLIGENCE may have taken place with UK. 5.NO PERSON OF THE RANK as mentioned in the report would have met the PM, INDIRA GANDHI and decision taken on that basis. 6. OUR ARMYs ability and role can not be under estimated to handle that 1984situation without any external advice/suggestion. 7. We had no intelligence on what was going on inside GOLDEN TEMPLE & sent 2 army officers as visitors to study . 8. For 5 days ARMY was drawing & changing plans based on the ground realities in 1984.Else causality might be minimized. 9.IN a constituency in UK where the INDIAN SIKH population is dominant and decisive,as the election are approaching in BRITON, the opposition political party mght have passed on some document to the reporter to write a sensational article to put LABOUR PARTY & its PM to discomfort for political gains. I AGREE with Mr PARTHASARATHYs views in toto.
