Laura Anne Bowman Shupe passed away Wednesday, May 30th in her home in Corona, CA. Born during a snow storm in Durango, Colorado on March, 2nd 1960, Laura was the youngest daughter of George and Jessie Bowman. Laura was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Gregory, in January 2012. Her family is deeply comforted by the knowledge that they have been reunited. Laura was a dedicated mother, loving wife, and passionate advocate for children and education. She spent many years as a volunteer for the Corona/Norco PTA before returning to school to pursue a B.A. and eventually a M.A in Education. Laura was known for her witty and often irreverent sense of humor as well as her loving and generous heart. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Surviving are son, Gregory Shupe Jr., daughter, Heather Torres; son-in-law, Allan Torres; father, George Bowman; mother, Jessie Bowman; brother, Brad Bowman; sister, Georgia Ronda, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10AM on Saturday, June 15th at Yorba Linda United Methodist Church with Pastor Lynn Munson officiating. -written by my sister, Heather Torres
