Thanks. ===================================================== Senior Informatics Analyst Works extensively with health care claims data as it relates to algorithm development, product development/QA, and measure development. Candidate should be experienced with provider profiling, data validity and integrity testing, health services research, QA methods, and report development. We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual who can work both independently and in small cross functional teams using SQL / SAS and other analytic tools. Qualifications 1. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or equivalent experience required, Masters degree preferred. 2. Minimum 2 years working experience with quality measures and clinician profiling methods required. 3. 5+ years experience in working with large clinical and/or administrative databases, including analyzing and interpreting health plan administrative data required. Knowledge of data-mining techniques a plus. 4. 5+ years experience with and extensive understanding of healthcare finance and reimbursement, forms/formats used for medical billing (e.g. UB-92, UB-04, HCFA-1500, and X12) and basic understanding of medical terminology and diagnosis coding practices is required. Practical experience in healthcare operations highly desirable. 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and statistics background are required; experience in financial analysis a plus. 6. Extensive experience with SQL and/or SAS programming as applied to analytics. Proficiency in MS-Access, report writers, and advanced Excel is a plus. 7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including rapport with all levels of staff.
