FB Friends - With some amount of mixed emotions I want to tell you that, effective yesterday, I vacated the post of Managing Partner of PACE Sales and Marketing, Inc. (aka PACE Inc.) and turned it over to Mr. Mark Lindsay. The hard part was vacating the position and the easy part was putting Mark in the drivers seat of the company that my wife (Linda) and I organized in 1999. Mark has been a partner in our business for 12 years and is extraordinarily capable. Hes also one of the best men I know and Im delighted that he agreed to take on the responsibility. He will also join the PACE Board of Directors. According to my memory and my social security records, Ive worked for 59 years and that doesnt count the years that my brother and I cut grass in our neighborhood for 50 cents a yard...and that included edging with a pair of hand clippers...which was my specialty. I hope that no one will consider me to be a slacker for deciding to take a step away from long work weeks and too much travel. My intention is to spend more time with my family and do a better job of looking after my personal health. Ill continue to be the Board Chairman of PACE and will stay active with our marquee client, Microsoft, but much of my daily responsibility for day-to-day management of our business has already been transitioned to Mark and others. Life has been very good to me. Linda and I have been blessed beyond measure. We expect the next chapter of our lives to be as active and productive as previous chapters.
